University of Bergen invite you attend a course in theory of science:

" From the central dogma in molecular biology to omics"

August 14-19, 2008,  2 ECTS, maximum 15 participants

Course venues: the University of Bergen and Hardangervidda

 

Short about AIM: The aim of this course is to support and develop the participants’ scientific ambitions, creativity and level of theoretical reflection with respect to molecular biology and bioinformatics. The main method of the course is the combination of teaching in the history and theory of molecular biology with extensive use of participative techniques for discussion. In order to achieve optimal group dynamics and inspiring conditions, the course will in part be organised as a hiking trip in the Norwegian mountains.

 

Short about BUDGET: Participants must cover own transport costs to and from the course venues (~600 NOK) and a private membership in Turistforeningen (~480 NOK).


A tentative program, practical information, and information about lecturers, costs and registration is enclosed. Detailed information will be sent out in due time before the course.
