This one-week course on integrative bioinformatics is organized by Inge Jonassen (Computational Biology Unit (CBU), BCCS, UiB, FUGE bioinformatics platform and Department of Informatics, UiB), Pål Puntervoll (CBU/Department of Molecular Biology), Kjell Petersen (CBU).
Preparations
Please prepare a 5-minute presentation of yourself and your research, and how you plan to make use of integrative bioinformatics in your research.
Objective:
The objective is to organize a one-week course to organize a research training course in Bergen in the area of integrative bioinformatics directed towards MCB students potentially from all MCB partner units. The course will be organized as a combination of lectures and practicals. The aim is to leverage the students´ knowledge about how to integrate diverse types of bioinformatics data and how analyses can be performed across these and will include as topics both the conceptual and practical issues in performing such analyses. Examples of integrated analyses will be presented.
Deadline: 6. November
Registration: contact@mcb.uib.no
Who can participate?
Anyone can participate whether or not affiliated with MCB, and external participants (not affiliated with Universitetet i Bergen, UiB) are most welcome! However, the number of participants is limited to 20. If we get more than 20 registrations, members of MCB will have first priority, other PhD-students at UiB second priority and all other applicants third priority.
