HOW TO GET ACCESS TO THE COMPUTATIONAL RESOURCES

To get a user account on one of the computers of Parallab, you need to fill out the account application form. Users that already have an account on other Parallab machines must also fill in this form. If you already have a Parallab account, you will obtain the same user ID and password on the new account. You will be notified by email as soon as the account is established. In case you do not have an account at Parallab, you will be asked to phone the support staff for a password (alternatively, you may prefer to receive a snail mail or fax with password).

Questions related to the HPC facilities at Parallab should be sent to hpc-support@hpc.uib.no and will be handled as soon as possible.

Parallab is partner in the NOTUR consortium. The other sites within NOTUR that operate HPC facilities are

• NTNU - Norges Teknisk-Naturvitenskaplige Universitet, Trondheim
• UiO - University of Oslo
• UiT - University of Tromsø

Access to the facilities at these sites can be obtained by applying for CPU-hour grants through the NOTUR application scheme (deadlines twice a year) or by contacting these sites directly.
